If you follow a deep link on the wiki like tokeru.com/cgwiki/Houdini… , it should go directly to the right place and not start scrolling away as the images load in. Has bugged me for ages! Thanks to Divyansh Singh for the pointers, and Ulf Schneider for his markdown-it-fitmedia plugin.

Video recording showing the layers, wireframe, spinning the lights on this dino sculpt, just cos it’s so cool to see how fast and fluid Nomad is on an ipad. Crazy times.

I was thinking about doing a breakdown of some of them.

I've never done anything like this before. I only get slightly nervous at the thought of speaking haha.

Do you have any tips on the best way to do it?

more Nomad , nice workflow of dyntopo for freeform blockout, then the quadmesher for a quick tidy up, paint+detail, and final render with its lovely post process. this whole thing was maybe 2 hours, its so fast to work in!

Some hard surface tests in , never done it before, but it’s pretty good fun. Tubes, lathes, then trims/splits, quad remesh. Amazed how clean the results are, and how fast the workflow is. Based on a design by Ian Thody.

Imagine you're sleeping and the phone suddenly goes off 💥, disturbing all. This is how I imagine life was like before bedtime mode.
Well, I decided to learn .
Dev processes here: vicv.co/mnc
(Also a 16:9 vers, which I prefer)

trying to push the new Nomad quadremesher and layering as far as i can. take a character from one style, retopo, push to another style, see how much detail it retains. everything stays intact, performance is buttery smooth.

the Nomad 1.85 beta arrived on testflight, I can't put it down. the Exoside quadremesh integration is super tight, a ton of other great improvements.

messing with different looks in Nomad last night, using a great Kruger painting of John Lydon as initial reference, then experimenting with more distortion and strangeness.
