St Cuthbert's day
On March 20th 678 St Cuthbert died on Inner Farne. His body was then taken to the small monastery on Lindisfarne, today it lies in Durham Cathedral

This month sees the return of the Atlantic Puffins to the waters around the Farne Islands, nesting from mid April through to late July.
Puffins can be viewed on all our boat trips with the added bonus of landing on Inner Farne this year on the Inner Farne trips.

We've been out to the Islands already this morning with workmen as preparations are well underway for the opening of Inner Farne to the public on 25th March.
Good to see the Guillemots back around the Islands and on the cliffs for the 1st time this year.
