Baum created a multimedia traveling show called 'The Fairylogue and Radio-Plays.' Baum narrated the action on stage: a mixture of hand-colored slides of Oz illustrations and short movies, accompanied by a live orchestra. #AmericanOzPBS
The 1902 musical 'The Wizard of Oz' featured many changes to Baum's story: Toto becomes a cow named Imogene; a waitress named Trixie Tryfle is also blown to Oz; Dorothy is a teenager in love. It toured for 7 years. #AmericanOzPBS
