An amazing evening in Guadalajara at La Perla, in the city's downtown area with a cool new gallery space. Garth's sculpture 'Party Piece' overlooks the entrance. We all had a lot of fun at the opening of Calle, with photos by Muriel Cayon and music by her brother, Salvatore.

On our way to Guadalajara to see the unveiling of Garth's new public sculpture 'Party Piece'! and an Exhibition of photographs and music titled Calle 'Streets' about Mexico's problem with street dogs. En route, I kept looking for signs of a river system but didn't see much.

Garth's show at Fundación Calosa, an incredible gallery and art foundation in Irapuato, Mexico opened on May 4th. A brilliant job by UK curator Sam Cornish, who traveled from London to curate the show. So amazing to watch it all come together and visit this amazing area of Mexico

Thrilled to share this announcement. Sarah Wroblewski from CBS Boston spent an afternoon with me tromping through the amazing beaver wetlands of Woodstock where the book begins.

Miami Beach! Palm trees and white sand. But the best part was yesterday morning when I joined a group of ocean free swimmers. We swam out past the far white tower. So exciting to be rolling around in the waves swimming buoy to buoy.

An incredible evening in Sherburne, VT this past Thursday, hosted by the Vt Land Trust. A special thank you to the many libraries who hosted readings of Beaverland, the Vt Land Trust, the Flying Pig bookstore, and Phoebe Maciejowski, the talented artist who made the great sign.

A wonderful time at the South Street Seaport on Saturday. Gave my talk a few blocks from where John Jacob Astor would have made his start trading beaver pelts. Beaverland's editor came to hear my talk which was so great and we took fun pictures. Home to daffodils!

Nice display up in the Pierson library in the Shelburne Town Hall for Earth Week -- check out the beaver track! Looking forward to driving up to Vermont for my talk this Thursday. Please consider joining us if you are in the area.

One week ago, we were all looking at the eclipse, and what an amazing moment it was! Here's an image taken by my son who saw it in Brooklyn, NYC.  I'm headed to Vermont this Thursday and looking forward to an event organized by Vermont Land Trust. April 18th.

On my way to the Watershed Institute tonight in Penington, NJ. I’ll stop in Princeton to remember being class of ‘86, then we’ll hike out to see some beavers in the watershed before my talk. Excited to meet the community working to preserve the watershed. Please join us at 6 PM!

Such a great time in the Chicago area on Sunday giving a talk for the Land Conservancy of McHenry County. Thank you to everyone I met while out there for your warmth and hospitality and for all the great work you are doing for the environment and beavers in the Midwest.

International Beaver Day was founded to honor the work of Dorothy Burney Richards in founding one of the first beaver sanctuaries in the United States. I had so much fun researching her life and telling her story in Beaverland.
