Thanks to the hard work of NHS staff, today's stats show we are continuing to make progress on waiting lists.

This represents the biggest 5-month fall in over 10 years outside the pandemic.

Much more to do but we will stick to our plan to cut waiting lists.

Great job Department for Work and Pensions and Crown Prosecution Service on tackling this mega fraud. Arrested in 2021, extradited and finally convicted. I hope they end up in jail for considerable time and deported promptly.

Today we’re uprating the State Pension by 8.5 per cent meaning pensioners will be £900 better off.

This comes on top of last year’s 10.1 per cent increase and our commitment to the Triple Lock.

✅ 1 APRIL 2024 = eligible working parents of 2-year-olds GET 15 hours childcare support

✅ 6 APRIL 2024 = child benefit threshold INCREASED to £60,000

✅ SEPTEMBER 2024 = 15 hours childcare EXTENDED to eligible parents of children from 9-months old.

Conservatives: delivering the largest expansion of childcare in our history with an £8 billion investment.

Labour: cutting funding for childcare in Wales and refusing to back our childcare plan in England.

Only the Conservatives have a plan to support parents with childcare.
