Kind of - the Tories are very unlikely to put “maintain Trident” in a “look at Labour’s irresponsible pledges” costings dossier, and nobody else is going to make one.

I asked half a dozen comms and marketing types if the Tories were making deliberately terrible ads for clicks.

Just remembered this conversation. No particular reason.

Without going all “Labour never did this”, I’m not aware of Labour ever doing this. I don’t want to make a stronger claim than that, maybe people in Labour did it without me knowing.
