New action plan to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR) commits the UK to:

🔵 reduce use of antimicrobials
🔵 strengthen surveillance of drug resistant infections before they emerge
🔵 incentivise industry to develop the next generation of treatments

Unusual finding from #swabandsend . Unknown bacteria turns dark blue when grown on agar plates in the presence of E. coli. Doesn't do this in the presence of other bacteria. Does anyone have an idea what bacterium this is and what it is producing? Will identify it and update.
