Another one in the trap! 🤩 Also,a Pebble Prominent! Lifer! 🤩

Just seen me first House Sparrow of the year! A cock bird in the yard. With the Oystercatcher pair that’s appeared in the last couple of days,that’s 74 for the farm this year. House Sparrow has been first bird if the year seen a few times!

🎊🎉🪅😳🤩 The biggest & smallest moths I’ve ever had! (If littleun is a moth!) Netted the magnificent Poplar Hawk-moth near the trap in the garden & other titchy one potted on the trap & no idea what it is! Any help very welcome,please. Many thanks. 😁👍

3 moths from 2 nights ago’s trap. My mate says 2 different pugs - I’m not sure,but didn’t want to be pugnacious - Common & Golden-rod & also Rustic Shoulder-knot. If correct,I think all lifers though I might have had them before & can’t remember! 🙈😂 Opinions welcome! 🙂

I’m crap at warbler song,but was told this is a Garden Warbler & farm tick 72 for the year. Was also a Whitethroat in the vicinity,but didn’t see it so no county yet!

Had this fluttering in front of the bike lights while out trying to catch a shearling that wouldn’t let its lamb suck that was reversing round the field last night. Reliably informed it’s an Engrailed & a lifer! 👍

Just seen me first male Pied Flycatcher of the year right on the edge of the wood bordering the farm so 71 for the year. 🙂

In & around the trap couple of nights ago - 2 lifer moths - Early Tooth-striped & Least Black Arches. Thank you Celina for IDs. 🙂 Also,I think,Common Flatbody & a smaller caddis. 7 ‘orrible Black beetles,Clouded Drab,Hebrew & 11 big Caddisflies.

Completely unexpected lifer alert! Netted in the garden near the trap therefore saving the Wogan! It’s so tiny & cute - a little jewel! 😍
