I believe the Saudis and the Russians are trying to send oil prices through the roof to hurt Biden and help Trump. The reason for this is that Russia knows Trump will let him take Ukraine with no US help and leave NATO. I also believe the Saudis think Trump will give them nukes.

I actually get being concerned about budget, what surprises me is that their solution is always cutting. To balance a budget, you can either cut costs or increase revenue or both. Why does increasing available revenue via taxes never cross their minds as an option?
