Forget how you feel about certain people. In 1995, it was probably totally reasonable to implement an HTTP/1 server in C to get a performance win. I don't get why this is something people are dunking on. Many modern frameworks *still* include native impls of web servers.

It annoys me to no end that operator precedence is a popular meme now.

Only programmers know the right thing to do: give up and use parentheses; let a code formatter remove redundant parens.

One year my math teacher decided to have me teach the class for Pi day. I started by writing 50 digits of pi on the whiteboard from memory, and then spent most of the rest of the time showing a few ways to compute the digits by hand. Needless to say, I didn't become a teacher.
