Honoring women's service 🙏
Before #WW1 , Sophia Haarman worked as a stenographer. In 1918, she joined the American Red Cross to serve overseas. She died of meningitis after the war and was buried at St. Mihiel American Cemetery 🇺🇸🇫🇷 where our staff tends her grave.

Even though no women are commemorated at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Cemetery Associate Amandine Jaunet created a booklet that lists all women remembered at ABMC sites to honor their contributions to American conflicts abroad.
