If Sunak wants to base his fightback on the prospect of a hung parliament, he should do so. But he's going to be met by presenters telling him he's over 20 points behind in the polls. He will look an absolute tool. But then that's never stopped him before.

Can't quite believe Sunak would hold an election in Dec/Jan. You'd be pilloried for needlessly ruining Christmas. You'd be conducting it in the depths of a winter NHS crisis. And you'd be asking a predominantly older volunteer force to campaign for you in the cold and the dark.
