Today I am proud to join one of the coolest, most illustrious groups there is: people laid off by vice. My number was finally called after seven and a half years of service. Hit up your boy if you wanna pay me to help you make ill internet content.

so incredibly upset that so many of my talented colleagues were laid off today—especially at a time when we need their work the most. there were many people who I looked up to and learned how to be a journalist from and I don’t really know where we go from here.

Last line says it all. Absolutely gutted for my former coworkers.

I’m heartbroken and furious all over again today. Continuing to lose talent has driven this company, which once provided me with my dream job, into the ground.

I'm very sorry for all my ex-colleagues who have lost their jobs today. I think the last line of this statement sadly captures it

'We can no longer express shock and surprise that VICE has determined its only way forward is to lay people off' is such a bleak, horrifying and sadly understandable statement, my gosh. The state of media in 2023 in a nutshell, I guess.

gutted once again by this latest round of layoffs at VICE. these are all massively talented people, many i've had the honor of working alongside for years, who put everything they had into this company.
