I have been thinking that if there is a teacher or professor who wants to do this that there are many who would help. It could be great for everyone.

In the five years I’ve had this account, by far the strangest response I’ve received has been to read the common point below and ask….. if we should have children draft the constitution.

(OTOH they probably couldn’t do worse.)

This is quite the cop-out if it goes down like this. A bunch of people get to say, aw shucks I woulda supported Katie but then this weird thing happened.

Today, some members of the LLBC have endorsed chair candidate Randal Gaines. However some LLBC members who are also in the DSCC have not backed Randal. I think it’s fair for their voters ask: with a gop legislative supermajority, what is their case for voting for the incumbent?..

For reference, here are Louisiana legislators who’ve publicly backed Gaines for chair. If they are your legislator, not on this list, & a voting member of the DSCC, it’s fair for you to ask them to name their choice for Democratic Party chair. *By DNC bylaw, this vote is public.

“The big thing that everyone needs to understand is that Louisiana’s tax dollars are paying for that program, whether we accept the money in Louisiana or not,” Willard said. Thank you to everyone who has been working on reversing this terrible decision!

We already overuse prison like no other place in country. Worst part is we do the opposite of rehabilitation while in jail. We put people back into society in a worse condition. That is unfortunately the Louisiana way.
