Still writing very, very, slowly ,but excited to be thinking about Terry's appearance in The Amber Heart (1887). This was the first costume Alice Comyns-Carr designed for her, the folds reputedly achieved by boiling the fabric in a potato steamer!

And yesterday we spent the afternoon in the costume workroom at Leeds Playhouse, watching makers at work and marvelling over the new costumes under construction.

It's been a busy week for CCH! On Wednesday, we attended a fantastic workshop to discuss costume methodologies, organised by the brilliant Film Costumes in Action
