Planet v Plastics #EarthDay2024

As part of our commitment to #Sustainability we introduced new biodegradable library cards made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved card. These cards will biodegrade in 6 months & avoid the environmental pitfalls of plastic breakdown.

It’s #NationalLibrarianDay so we will say it loud (but not too loud 🤫) and proud…. “I am a librarian!” 😊

What an inspiring workshop with Helen Cross at #Alexandria library yesterday! Part of SLIC #ShelfLife campaign, pupils from Christie Park Primary School worked with Helen to design a ‘no adults allowed’ garden.
The knowledge, creativity & artwork on show was truly astounding 👏🏻🪴
