Have you cosied up to watch 'Christmas in Scotland' yet?

This latest festive film gets a thumbs up from us, mostly thanks to the historic filming locations like Dundas Castle, Limekilns and Culross (pictured).

More Culross in the @histenvscot archives πŸ‘‰ ow.ly/AKWm50Q8irX

Nevertheless, it held out when besieged by Regent Arran in 1547.

Mary of Guise was born in Bar-le-Duc in north-east France in 1515.

Few would have predicted that she would end up becoming one of the most important figures in Scottish history.

The remarkable story is on the blog πŸ‘‡

Lovely visit to the beautiful and historic village of Dunkeld. What more could this traveller want? A boutique whisky shop and a Cathedral housing carved ecclesiastical stones from the early Middle Ages. Historic Scotland
