RKS Mobility Services in Little Stanney have been very generous in donating a new scooter to the reserve. Visitors have already been out and about on it, and are delighted with how comfortable it is! If you would like to book it, please give us a call to reserve.

The male Garganey showed for most of the day between Centenary Pool and Bridge Pool, whilst the female Scaup was again on Bridge Pool. There were some fantastic looking Ruff on Main Scrape - some of the males have an almost full ruff

It's been a muggy, sunny day today, work lots of interesting A single Wood Sandpiper was on the Main Scrape for about 45 minutes this morning. A Kingfisher flew past the Visitor Centre with food in its beak - an unusual sight for this time of year.

Dee Newsletter for May now on-line deeestuary.co.uk/news0524.htm. 86 Little Gulls off Leasowe was largest count in UK for March and I've written an article about the history of LGs in Liverpool Bay. Plus usual CR news and April Bird News.

We've had Red Kite, Hobby and Cuckoo all putting in an appearance around the reedbed area of Marsh Covert hide and Border Hides. Yellow Wagtail also showed well down at the barn.

The three White Storks were again seen today. All three showed brilliantly well for the visitors who were in the Visitor Centre and new Viewpoint areas. A male Garganey was showing at the same time, meaning we were spoilt for choice!

Huge excitement during the middle of the afternoon as 3 White Storks were seen drifting over the reserve towards Puddington. They were also seen last week, so it's worth keeping an eye to the skies! 7 Spotted Redshank, 1 Whinchat & a Little Gull were also seen across the reserve.
