Maybe I wasn’t clear with that last tweet on Gettysburg, which TFG referred to as, among other things, beautiful. Lots of young guys are anxious to see their first action……. very very few want to see their second…. Battlefield smell of gunpowder, feces, urine and iron (blood).

This photo has to be post battle. It would be more ‘ beautiful’ if those bodies had been left in their original positions. Take it from a guy who seen both pre and post. The guy who said the battle was beautiful has probably never seen a dead body in his life..passed 5 chances
