Interesting stuff on the 'end of Roman Britain' on BBC Radio 4 Today (from Digging for Britain series). It's a question debated since at least 1970s. One argument then was that town of Wroxeter was urban centre into 6th or 7th centuries (though that has recently been challenged).
We can't wait for tomorrow's event with mary beard. Don't forget to book your place if you haven't....
On Thursday evening world-renowned classicist mary beard returns to Ely Cathedral with Topping & Company Booksellers of Ely to talk about her latest book, Emperor of Rome, a sweeping account of the social and political world of the Roman emperors.
