I think some of the best writing advice out there is to get honest. To be as close to the human experience as you can. Channel rawness, unpolished, frantic thoughts. Empathy is everything.

POV: your reader is tired, hungry and frustrated.

So get to the point.

Play long-term games.

Every time you find yourself chasing quick wins, ask yourself whether it allows you to play for as long as possible.

People consistently underrated the person who is willing to show up forever.

The long-term play is keeping your 9-5, using it as leverage and then doing what you want.

One option is moving to Bali and doing that monk-mode thing.

The other is finding a job you like, working on your brand part-time and spending 3 years honing your craft.
