#OtD 23 Apr 1971 1000 Vietnam War veterans returned their medals to the government. They'd planned to return them in body bags but authorities erected a fence around the Capitol building so the veterans threw their medals over it. More info in our pod: workingclasshistory.com/2018/08/06/e10…
