11 Apr 1968 West German activist Rudi Dutschke was shot in the head by a fascist. Dutschke survived and, despite brain damage, continued his work and activism until his death in 1979. Many blamed the shooting on the right-wing Springer press stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/8268/r…
