Some artists are unique. They cannot be imitated or plagiarized; They simply have their own lane. Once they’re gone, there’ll never be others like them. That’s sad, but also poignant… because their art will remain a rare and fleeting expression of an artist’s life.

I heard Beyoncé had recently covered the song “Jolene”. Last night, before I checked it out, I had a dream about it. Woke up thinking “How hot Jolene has to be to even compete with Beyoncé?” This morning, out of curiosity, I listened to her version, and it all made more sense :)
