Under IHL, hospitals enjoy special protections against attack.

The alleged presence of military activity in a hospital does not waive those protections.

An attacking force is still obligated to do everything feasible to avoid or minimize harm to patients and staff.

Based on his actions before and after October 7, I have no faith that Prime Minister Netanyahu will protect Israelis, prioritize the release of hostages, abide by humanitarian rules of war in Gaza or respect human rights in the West Bank or earnestly work to prevent escalation.
