Once somebody tells me a turn of phrase is racist, regardless of intent, I acknowledge that & stop trying to justify it. “I’m sorry. Thanks for pointing that out,” is all you need to say.

It’s not a “stop calling me out” button though.

It is still your responsibility to learn subtext for situations where it causes racist harm. This argument is ridiculous. All what you're saying equates to is recognising pure intent, but intent does not absolve action. Put the energy you put into excusing racism into anti-racism
