Congratulations to the winner of the #SorghumIdeaChallenge ! The team of Rose Otema Baah, Emilie Danielle Mbock, Charles Antwi win a €5000 seed grant for their project, “Production of Tea Sachets made of Sorghum Stem-Sheath, enriched with ginger and cloves.”

David Jordan highlights complexity of partial fertility in sorghum. Breeders typically manage this through conservative crossing but this has consequnces incl reduced genetic gain through low genetic variance in females. Genomic selection provides options to address this! #sorghum23
