So excited that this book is now out with Counterpress. It is just the most beautiful, incredible graphic novel about intersections of gender colonialism & climate change. It challenges ideas about voice and solidarity, & the relation of law and truth criticallegalthinking.com/2024/04/08/new…

Starting 19 January, my LLB advisees and I will meet every Friday to discuss chapters from The Critical Legal Pocketbook, edited by Illan rua Wall, Freya Middleton, Dr Sahar Shah and CLAW.
Others at @kentlawschool are also welcome to join! Sessions held over Teams 11 AM - 12:30 PM.
It has arrived Illan rua Wall and is going straight into the contract law reading list thanks to barnstorming chapters from @maireadenright and Dr Sahar Shah Counterpress. A couple of copies are also heading to the WLS student hub.
.@maireadenright has an article, 'Contract Law and Empire', in the excellent publication, The Critical Legal Pocketbook. This book is crucial in bringing a critical approach to core topics taught to undergraduate law students: criticallegalthinking.com/2021/11/08/the… Illan rua Wall Counterpress
This is such a wonderful project! I’ve seen a sneak peak of the book (and also read it cover to cover) and it’s brilliant. A manifesto and road map for a bottom-up decolonisation process. All hail Suhraiya Jivraj, Dave Thomas and all the others involved!
Delighted that #ArtLawPower has been published this week with my chapter on #HostileEnvironment exhibition with Counterpoints Arts Tate Exchange Other fantastic chapters by swastee Sean Mulcahy and fantastic editors Luce F-M @eleftheriafm
