All JBSA commissaries are closed.

Exchange info:JBSA-LAK: only the Express and North Loop will be open, to close by 1700.

JBSA-RND: only the home and garden is open, to close by 1700.

JBSA-FSH: Walters Express is open but all other Exchanges closed.

🚨 Team JBSA 🚨 Due to potentially hazardous roadways, degrading weather conditions, and school closure announcements, JBSA is limiting installation service operations Jan. 31, 2023.

Unit commanders and supervisors will determine specific reporting instructions for mission critical personnel. JBSA 24/7 gates will remain open. All other gates will remain closed.

Additional information will be posted shortly.

And again into Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. 

Personnel should look to their command teams and supervisor for additional guidance.

11:09 a.m. - Personnel OUTSIDE the cordoned area of Valley Hi gate, Truemper St, and Carswell Ave, are released. Valley Hi gate remains closed. Please remain clear of this area. We are continuing to work with SAPD to ensure a safe environment.”

South Patrol Officers are investigating a “shots fired” call off Medina Base Road outside the gate at Lackland Air Force Base. At this time, there is not an active shooter situation. Officers are continuing to investigate but there is no threat to the public.

ACTIVE SHOOTER ALERT (REAL WORLD) - Security forces and local law enforcement are currently responding to reports of gunshots heard off-base in the vicinity of Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland AFB. As more information becomes available, we will provide updated information.
