My little pollen display at the Chatham Island Museum, for the Festival of Science this week. Big thanks to The 3D Pollen Project for the models!
So we got a new toy at home. Obviously, the first thing I requested to be printed was a pollen grain from The 3D Pollen Project. I now have a snazzy addition to my keyring! Handy for when I need to explain tetrad pollen!

Today opened a new exhibition at Botanic Garden of Turun yliopisto - University of Turku that tells about #pollen and #aerobiology . Thanks to 3D-pollen models by The 3D Pollen Project, visitors are now able to see what pollen grains look like without a microscope. #UtuBiodiversity
We had a great time presenting our Time Detectives outreach activity for the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity #NottsFOSAC ❤️🔥👩🏼🔬🌾

Spring is in the air… and so is the pollen!
We’re showcasing our Canberra Pollen Monitoring Program at ourANU on the 27th Sept. Come along see our amazing 3D pollen that help you understand what’s making you wheeze and sneeze 🤧
Thanks to The 3D Pollen Project and Janelle Stevenson
Me: is the microscope supposed to do that?
Technicians: 😳 ......no
Fun and games doing The 3D Pollen Project things this afternoon at Peter O'Toole 😅🔬
More 3D printed pollen! This print of Pinus/pine pollen is paused half way through. The confocal scanning used to make the digital model has captured the subsurface structure of the sacci (I forget the proper term for that...). So very cool. Thanks The 3D Pollen Project for the model
A fun day of family focussed science outreach at the Sheffield Hallam University Explore! Science event. Using 3D pollen from The 3D Pollen Project

Highlight of my time at the Chatham Islands Festival of Science so far was visiting Te One School to talk to the Island's young people about pollen and the work I do. Once again The 3D Pollen Project models were the star of the show (the microscope went down well too)

Playing around with 3D printing some pollen models from The 3D Pollen Project for outreach activities. Does anyone have tips or tricks for printing these?! I’m worried about getting the support material off!
Ciao, #INQUARoma2023 ! It was really great to meet so many friends (old and new) and hear about all sorts of interesting research. And, as ever, so much fun sharing the excitement about The 3D Pollen Project 😄 Don't forget to do the survey, pollen people! tinyurl.com/my3Dpollen
Thanks to the amazing The 3D Pollen Project for the scans and to CUHK Libraries for #3Dprinting them for us!! Our students at ANTH1710 surely had a blast learning about #palynology today! 🌿🌱🪵🌲🌴🌳🍀🍃🍄💐🌹 #archaeobotany #archaeology #pollen #environmentalArchaeology
