To mark #WorldWaterDay2024 , our team in Mandera launched nine newly rehabilitated water points. This has increased #water accessibility for both livestock and human use and in turn contributed to the peaceful coexistence of bordering communities. (Supported by USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance)

The NFI kit comprises; 3-month supply of 450g multipurpose soap per person per month to facilitate hand washing at critical times, one bucket with a lid, one 20-litres jerry can to facilitate safe water collection and storage Action Against Hunger, Kenya

In a collaborative effort, ACF & Ministry of Social Development, flagged off the distribution of 3500 WASH NFIs meant for 3500 households with malnourished children under the age of 5 years in Arabia and Kutulo Sub-counties to mitigate the risks of water- borne diseases.

Isiolo County Government Action Against Hunger US Action Against Hunger Horn & Eastern Africa Region

Today, the Chief Officer of Water & Sanitation, Dr Ali Wario, led a team from his office alongside Action Against Hunger, Kenya for a site handover to the contractor. We are optimistic that this partnership will bring about positive change & ensure everyone in the County has access to clean water

Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan is committed to providing access to potable water for every household in Isiolo County. His administration has partnered with Action Against Hunger, Kenya to pipe water from Biliki to Malkagala. This project is set to improve the lives of many in the county. (1)

Clinton, 2, was severely malnourished.

Thanks to support from Irish Aid, UNICEF Kenya & Action Against Hunger, Kenya, Clinton received treatment with therapeutic food & has fully recovered.

His grandmother was also trained to measure his arm to monitor his nutritional status.
