New research by St John Ambulance England finds that just 29% of people are 'very confident' in first aid skills. The APPG is looking forward to discussing how we can improve first aid in the UK at our upcoming APPG session tomorrow with industry experts

The APPG would like to thank Ilora Finlay for her debate in the Lords today, which asked what the Government is doing to improve sudden cardiac arrest survival rates. We must learn from countries such as Norway & Italy to improve patient outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest.

The APPG welcomes more defibrillators but research has found that defibrillators are used in just 10 per cent of out of hospital cardiac arrests. The Government must take action to improve defibrillator disparities & make sure people know where to find defibs in an emergency 🩷
