Officers out on proactive #Fatal5 patrols across Avon and Somerset Police spotted this driver using a mobile phone. Driver was stopped, issued a ticket for the offence & will be receiving 6 points & a 200 fine in due course.

This vehicle we suspected to be involved in burglaries in the Box/Corsham area. #RPU used a pre-emptive sting to bring the vehicle to a safe stop in Bathampton with #ARG and ASPolice Roads Policing (RPU). After a short foot chase, three males were #arrested . Vehicle was stolen from Bristol.

Last week, a man was convicted of careless driving at Bath Magistrates’ Court. His behaviour resulted in a £440 fine and 9 points on his licence.

On 21 March, we caught 106 speeding motorists in 2 hours on the same stretch of A358 near Chard.

Officers on #OpToro today seized this vehicle after the driver was stopped on Westerleigh Road in Yate ASPolice South Gloucestershire following an in car #ANPR hit for Operation Tutelage.

Turns out the driver was not insured & only held a provisional licence.

The Road Safety (Fatal5) Enforcement Team have been on the A361, Coursing Batch at #Glastonbury . Deployed as a direct result of residents concern regarding the dangerous speed drivers come through this 20mph limit where there are narrow pavement & driveway exits. Somerset Road Safety

Driver of this car travelling from Wales on the M4 was stopped after it hit #OpTutelage marker for No Insurance plus checks showed an expired MOT. Blue light taxi off the motorway for the driver as well as being reported for the offences and their vehicle seized.
