Three men were sentenced on Friday after thousands of pounds worth of stolen agricultural machinery were discovered in Somerset.

In 2022, officers investigating the theft of machinery found stolen items on two separate occasions.

We are asking for the public to look out for a Indespension twin axle trailer and 2.7 tonne Bobcat 325 excavator which were stolen from the Baltonsborough area, near Glastonbury, at around 9.45pm on Monday (18 Dec).

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an assault in Mark.

The investigation relates to an incident which took place in Kingsway at 2pm on Saturday.

Steven Paul, of Church Lane, Yeovil, was at Taunton Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The incident was on Thursday 3 November in Limington.

On Wednesday, Chief Constable Sarah Crew joined the Rural Affairs Unit at a crime prevention event at Frome Market.

The RAU marked 23 trailers in the space of four hours, with each marking taking around 10 minutes.
