After more than a year studying Flamingo lakes using satellite imagery I finally got to see lakes Nakuru and Bogoria up close! 😁 Lesser Flamingos are amazing to see in person! (and very noisy)🦩

Had a blast helping out with the Dino Snores event at Natural History Museum with Beth Evans and Aidan Byrne. So cool how excited the kids were and we got to play with Megaladon teeth! 🦈

The sun came out to greet us for our first week of #fieldwork in 2023 🌞

A new study by Aidan Byrne finds huge flocks of Lesser Flamingos are in danger of being flushed out of their feeding grounds as East Africa’s lakes continue to rise - and climate change is set to make things worse.⬇️
