The 5 year anniversary of Cillian's incident recently passed. This special day is known lovingly by Cillian & his family as Cillian's Day ❤ They celebrate that their young son is still alive after suffering a severe brain injury & requiring the air ambulance back in 2019.

Did you know that the air ambulance flies at a speed of 165kt, that's 190mph or 3.2 miles per minute over the ground! When a life hangs in the balance, every second counts 🚁

Today our engineer John carried out a routine inspection on our AW109 helicopter 🚁

💡 Did you know? The air ambulance receives an inspection every 50 flight hours or every 30 days, dependant on which one comes first.

The Doctor and Paramedic team train everyday on manikins like this one, simulating various medical emergencies they encounter when tasked 🚁 Training is an integral part of HEMS ensuring a gold standard of care is provided to every patient ❤️
