South Georgia & the South Sandwich Islands are home to 4 species of penguins 🐧 including the largest chinstrap penguin population in the 🌎.
Our recent extension to the Marine Protected Area ensures further protection & conservation of these penguins!

At dawn, His Honour the Acting Honour laid a wreath, alongside members of the #Falklands community, to pay respects to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Just back from an amazing month with work at # #SouthGeorgia . This is the summit of Stenouse Peak looking down into Cumberland West Bay. When I first came here 23 years ago the fjord was filled by the Neumayer Glacier down as far as the glaciers on the left. #ClimateAction
