So grateful to this team of U.S. diplomats who powered through 42 hours of formal negotiations, many more hours of informal discussions, and edits from 120 countries.

This hard work led to the first-ever UN resolution on #AI which sets global norms for this critical technology.

For all of the unknowns surrounding AI, this much is clear:

This technology has the potential to unlock more progress, on more issues, for more people.

But in order to mitigate risks for communities across the globe, we must approach this technology as a global community.

This consensus adoption of a historic AI resolution is a testament that UN Member States are doing just that.
