Why is there a spike in domestic abuse following major football games?

This spike is driven by perpetrators that had consumed alcohol and when games are scheduled early, for which there is a cumulative increase in abuse.

Gender differences in personality traits such as over-confidence is often proposed as a driver of gaps in outcomes

But experts over-estimate the gender gap in confidence. A meta-review shows that there is no difference. Time to update priors!!
