Gender differences in personality traits such as over-confidence is often proposed as a driver of gaps in outcomes

But experts over-estimate the gender gap in confidence. A meta-review shows that there is no difference. Time to update priors!!

Health, care work, and education are growing sectors - in contrast to many male-dominated sectors

Gender norms appear to be a constraint

Men who grew up with more equal gender norms are more likely to pursue careers in health and education

It makes no difference for child development at 2 years!

WHO guidelines on breastfeeding for up to 2 years are probably not so relevant for families with access to high quality formula
