This week was a crucial in Sacramento as today was the deadline for fiscal bills to advance to Appropriation Committee. We passed 9 bills to Appropriations, I chaired the Veterans Committee, and championed the Healthy Homework Act. Proud to keep pushing forward for our community!

#AB2424 has passed out of the Judiciary Committee today! This legislation not only protects homeowners from foreclosure but also preserves economic stability by ensuring families retain their hard-earned investments.

NEW: Stanford Graduate School of Education survey found 45% of #California high schoolers stressed about homework.

Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo is on the #caleg happiness committee and has a bill to reduce that stress.

I’m still in training for the rodeo…but I had a blast at the Cowboy Festival in Newhall!

The live music set the perfect backdrop for a day full of dancing, delicious food, and genuine cowboy culture. Spending time with so many wonderful people was the best part of the day.

🥞 Team Pilar had a wonderful time at the 30th Annual S.O.L.I.D. All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast at the L.A.P.D. Devonshire Station! 🚓

It was great to see so many familiar faces enjoying pancakes and showing their appreciation for our local law enforcement.

Participated in an insightful Close the Gap California panel with my colleagues! Also met with Boys & Girls Club of West Valley, Northeast Valley Health Corporation, ValleyCommHealthcare, CCALAC, California Latinas for Reproductive Justice, and SEIU Local 121RN.

We toured the Chiquita Canyon Landfill to monitor the steps taken to mitigate odor, environmental & health impacts.

Our state agencies are working with county and federal agencies to ensure the wellbeing of our community is safeguarded.
