We are excited to invest $72 million to connect homes in tribal communities to reliable electricity.
This is just the latest investment President Biden is leading in Indian country to improve the daily lives of people in tribal communities.
As part of the Biden Harris “Invest in America” agenda, senior administration officials Bryan Newland and White House Intergovernmental Affairs visited the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Arizona to learn about NTIA’s investments in high-speed Internet infrastructure on Tribal lands
Water is life. Access to high-speed, affordable internet is also vitally important. For health. For education. For jobs.
At Ak-Chin Indian Community, White House Intergovernmental Affairs and I saw how President Biden’ Investing in America agenda is helping Native communities secure both.
This week, I had the opportunity to speak with the next generation of Native leaders at Arizona State University.
These youth will build on the historic progress we are making under President Biden and Secretary Deb Haaland.
