Dominic Williams ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฐ๐ญ Australian Embassy, Cambodia Well-done to you and your partners Dominic, we are proud ๐๐พ
Was great to catch up last week with some of our talented AustraliaAwards alumni, as well as Global Institute for Women's Leadership - ANU visitors Prof Michelle Ryan and Dr Elise Stephenson who are running a series of gender equality workshops in Phnom Penh.
Interesting insights for other countries at #CPD57 today, as ๐ป๐ณ, ๐ฑ๐ฆ and ๐ฐ๐ญshared how they have used International Conference on Population & Development Programme of Action to guide sustainable development planning, & underpin amazing economic & social progress in last 10 years.
Congratulations to ๐ฐ๐ญ today on the 25th anniversary of its membership of ASEAN! In 1999, it became the newest and 10th member. As ๐ฆ๐บ marks our own 50th anniversary of dialogue partnership with ASEAN this year, we continue to engage deeply with ๐ฐ๐ญ on issues affecting the region.
Amazing community concert tonight in Phnom Penh, headlined by Australian indigenous performer MitchTambo and Cambodian singer Sai. Both great artistic talents as well as social justice pioneers. #Indigenousdiplomacy well and truly alive!
Was cool to sit in on a few jam sessions with Oz Indigenous performer MitchTambo, his wife and fellow artist Leah, & students from Bophana Center yesterday. Spreading cultural linkages and Indigenous diplomacy from Australia ๐ฆ๐บ to Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ and the world!
Online child sexual exploitation and abuse are horrendous crimes that cross borders, with huge impacts in the Mekong. Thatโs why Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation is committed to working with countries such as ๐ฐ๐ญ to train investigators and prosecutors, such as the training this week in Phnom Penh
Good to be back in the Penh. Today I had the pleasure to catch up with MRC CEO Dr Anoulak Kittikhoun. Lots to discuss, including how to move forward Australiaโs long-standing support to the MRC Australian Embassy in Laos
Excellent to have Michelle Chan, ๐ฆ๐บโs Head of the Office for Southeast Asia, in town. Office of Cambodian PM ๐ฐ๐ญ
