I would prefer a $300 rebate (and, for example, social security payments) would go to someone who doesn’t need it than it not go to someone who does.

Means testing is an abhorrent system that’s used to restrict access to people who need it.

The Sex Discrimination Commissioner said that raising the rate would prevent homicides.

Are Labor and the Office for Women saying with this Budget that they are happy for homicides to continue, as women in poverty are less likely to be able to escape violence?

To genuinely see “peak bodies” run by people without lived expertise of poverty get space to speak over and over again while people on income support are denied opportunities frustrates me.

We should be given the ability to speak on how the budget affects us.
