2. West Fraser plans to clearcut large swaths of Kananaskis's most popular destinations. We can use the Conservation Pass fund to buy out their rights to log key areas now, instead of waiting for their 20yr forest management agreement (legal right to log) to expire.

Quick reminder to remove the batteries from your beacon for the summer before it gets buried like Chris did this winter... sadly not in Kananaskis though.

The logging industry and their wood fiber foresters in B.C. trying to put the blame of increasing wildfires on old-growth forest protections. They forget to mention that the 'managed (e.g. cutover) landscape' is most contributing to increasing fire hazard.
