A very good and timely visit. Great to see Defra UK and Food Standards Agency supporting British food producers and both committed to stopping another £80 million of regulatory burden being added to food bills. We are working together to avoid food waste and food insecurity.

An excellent initiative and it’s worth noting that #RightToFood can support UK food producers for long-term self-sufficiency, on top of addressing the urgent food poverty situation in this country.

This is a good article. Worth reading for anyone who looks at poultry through a single issue lens. The big picture is complex and we (the UK) need to balance the competing needs: food security, cost of living, environment, trade, welfare, and so on.

Very welcome reminder of the value of an SPS agreement. We need to equalise the burden between imports and exports (exporters having had years of pain). Let’s hope that level playing field isn’t part of the sunlit uplands.
