I’d love to “see” you online for my course on presidential leadership. What an appropriate time to study President Biden now and from the past, just 4 months before the 2024 election!
If you want to know more about Jill Biden Biden’s predecessors, take a look JFK Library conversation that I had the honor of moderating.
Hope to see all my Boston friends JFK Library next Monday for our panel with my colleagues Anita McBride & Elizabeth Rees on Jill Biden & East Wing impact, from Mrs. Kennedy to Dr. Biden.
Because of all the personal tragedy he has suffered, President Biden Biden is superb at comforting others experiencing pain and misfortune. Presidents have to walk a fine line between visiting a disaster too soon or too late.
Happy Presidents’ Day from the Miller Center, where everyday is Presidents’ Day! If you like all the resources we provide, make a contribution, as I did, below. Every donation helps us continue our non-partisan work Miller Center. givecampus.com/fxmzmz
Usually at least one of the major POTUS candidates opts for optimism, and I point to FDR, JFK, Reagan, & Obama as prime examples. But President Biden Biden must counter the “4th Reich” rhetoric with realism about threats to our republic, while emphasizing his positive accomplishments.
Even knowing the Union would split apart, with founding of the CSA, both governments maintained constitutional structures from the US’s founding as a republic. Neither regime, with its flaws, was authoritarian, as I told Susan Milligan U.S. News & World Report.
My experience with Robert F. Kennedy Jr was not “Betwixt The Sheets: The History of Sex, Scandal,” (a British podcast with Kate Lister), but I had interesting conversations with him when he visited Sweet Briar College in 2006. shows.acast.com/betwixt-the-sh… via Acast
This joyful season must always be bitter sweet for President Biden Biden’s family & for all who mourn the loss of loved ones. But he soldiers on with profound religious faith. As QE II reflected, “Grief is the price we pay for love.” cnn.com/2023/12/06/pol…
By coincidence, my quote The New York Times about President Biden 45 becoming 47 comes just before my online discussion of Joe McCarthy and Harry Truman. POTUS 33 said McCarthy was “a pathological liar.” Join us 12/7 at 7 PM EST The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
