Why do ya’ll use it to describe problematic things.

So much humanity, pride and pain in this conversation, I had to dismount from my bike, and just listen - with full attention - to Unleashing Me and Angela Browne - #BeingLuminary discuss Islamophobia, the Middle East and identity.

Some people always seem to give us more to reflect on. This is worth a listen and some thought.

There are thousands of Jews marching, standing in solidarity and who feel strongly about the genocide of Palestinian people.
We also are swiftly relegated as ‘not Jews’ or the ‘wrong kind of Jews’ which is probably what he meant by “no they are not” we are the ‘not Jews’ Jews.

Understanding Jewish diversity means challenging stereotypes within and outside the community.

Unleashing Me We heard your podcast the other day. When you said Yoga and mindfulness is encouraged but if a child bows their head to praise their Lord in gratitude its now discouraged.. Or sadly banned in some places. That hit the nail on the head!

If a child chooses to pause & reflect, silently reciting a few verses during the day, within an allotted break-time. Why the fuss?
Especially when the same people built their brand on wanting kids to be silent, follow set rituals, reflect & recite at other times of the day.

When I was a head, I was proud of our prayer and contemplation room ( and ablution facilities), designed and overseen by a student committee. They were responsibly used, and valued, by those of all faiths and none. A manifestation of Unity in Diversity.
