So excited to have our 3 bird boxes and 3 batboxes from National Trust installed! The is the start of our David Bellamy Pledge for Nature Badge David Bellamy Pledge for Nature which aims to provide new wildlife habitats!

Following our Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable BBSTourismAwards win, we are constantly looking at ways to further improve our green credentials

Today we had 6 new bird boxes and 4 bat habitats installed🐥🦇

These will also help contribute towards our David Bellamy Pledge for Nature Pledge

We're giving away a large box of our award-winning pollinator seed mix to celebrate 50 years of city farms - #CityFarmDay 2022 on 24th March - Please comment and RT to enter #competition

Something all parks could try.

We're losing our wildlife – including frogs, butterflies, bees, hedgehogs, moths, bats, insects, birds, and toads. But there are 16 million gardens in the UK – so if more of us garden in a wildlife-friendly way, we can start to turn this around! Who's in?

Please don't replace turf with plastic grass. It:
🐝 Offers no food and shelter to wildlife
🌱 Has a high carbon footprint
⚠️ Wears out and ends up in landfill
🐬 Sheds microplastics which wash into rivers & the sea
💦 Worsens flooding
🙈 Looks rubbish

Our new dormouse boxes have just arrived! 🐁

They'll be positioned in hedgerows on the external boundaries of the park 🌳

Hazel dormice are rare and vulnerable to extinction in the UK and our new boxes will be another step towards our David Bellamy Pledge for Nature Home Sweet Home Challenge

We've planted a new Harry Masters apple tree for The Queen's Green Canopy celebrating the #PlatinumJubilee 👑

Somerset Rural Life Museum kindly helped us find a heritage tree from South #Somerset and we sourced from a local cider tree farm 🍎

The tree will assist in our David Bellamy Pledge for Nature pledge 🌳
