The Target Wheel Drive Unit – a delivery from 🇪🇸ESS Bilbao oficial - is now in place, and will soon rotate the wheel at a speed of 23 1/3 rpm – which happens to be just the right speed for optimal #neutronproduction !

Support structure of ESS Bilbao oficial #InKindcontribution the Proton Beam Instrumentation Plug PBIP already installed at ESS. The component was manufactured at Asturfeito. The optical slices included in the PBIP will monitor the proton beam before hitting the target wheel.
