Today Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage National Parks and Wildlife Service Malcolm Noonan T.D. are announcing Ireland’s eight National Park, Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara, Ciarraí. Our first Marine National Park. This was a commitment in our programme for Government & we’ve delivered on it.
The Irish Breeding Curlew EIP has now concluded. We would like to thank all the farmers involved who showed such commitment to saving 🇮🇪breeding Curlew, all the dedicated project staff, Dept of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Locally Led for their support and all our supporters and followers. 👏

A few weeks ago I found a pair of Raven nesting in the grounds of UCC Ireland in the middle of Cork City and today Alan McCarthy accessed the nest and ringed the two chicks and were joined by President John O'Halloran.
